The suspension bridge that we see here is the Lakshman Jhoola. Along with Ram Jhoola, the two play pivotal roles in the mythological epic - Ramayana. The bridges are believed to have been once used by a revered Hindu God - Rama and his brother Lakshmana. It was a jute bridge earlier and now an iron bridge stands here.
